It was that time of year again for Terry Kirby LLJ Contracts Manager to break out the tinsel and decorate his motorbike for the annual Reading Toy Run on Sunday 03.12.23.

The run has been going for 38 years and this will be Terry’s 24th year in taking part having only ever missed 2 runs since he started through COVID and heavy snow. The bikers included the Mayor, and the schools management team that travelled between an area just outside of Reading town centre to Barnardo’s School in Wokingham roughly 7 miles in total.

This year the weather was wet but that did not stop over 1000 bikers turning out and 250 pillion riders taking part. As this has become an annual event the lined route is always full of families and small children cheering and waving to all the Santa’s, Santa’s Helpers, Snowmen, and this year “Terry the Panda” as they all ride by.
